The Story

Proof that timing really is everything — Olivia and Elvin had crossed paths before, but it wasn’t until New Year’s Eve 2022 that sparks finally flew. Elvin was DJing in downtown Nyack, Olivia was out celebrating, and somewhere between champagne toasts and playlists, they hit it off. Three days later, they were still hanging out — and they haven’t stopped since.

Their first date came just a few days later: a simple night out at a local bar where the conversation flowed as easily as the drinks. It felt like they’d known each other forever — and that instant connection only deepened.

The proposal? Pure magic and completely them. Elvin took Olivia to her favorite restaurant in New York, where they did what they always do: sat at the bar, shared apps, and chatted with strangers. But this night was different. Mid-conversation, Elvin grabbed her hands, said a few well-rehearsed (and adorable) words, and dropped to one knee. The bar erupted in cheers, the bartender filmed the whole thing, and Olivia said yes — champagne included.

When it came to the venue, Olivia’s heart was set on a beach wedding. She discovered The Pavilions at Penfield Beach on The Knot, showed Elvin, and that was it — love at first site (pun fully intended). They booked it on the spot.
