"I didn't go into that day thinking it would be the most important event of my life but it honestly ended up being that. It was undoubtedly the best day of my life."
The Story
Dana & Michael grew up in the same town; Michael was close friends with her brothers growing up. After Dana gradated High School, the two became close friends and the rest is history. Nearly 11 years later, they decided to make it official and truly make each other family.
When Michael, an accomplished Chef with AMG Catering, recommended Penfield Pavilion (a venue he had worked at and admired!) Dana, the "Work Families" and the "Family-Families" all approved! Part of the reason that the couple fell in love with the pavilion, was that they were able to incorporate many special flourishes to make the day unique; to make the day their own. The couple chose rich colors, even though it was a spring wedding (where you would normally see light pastels). They used black and mauve for the attire and the flowers were shades of purple and raspberry red. When you walked into the room you felt hugged. The colors, the lighting and the weather (it rained) made everything feel so romantic.
"Our favorite moment of our wedding day was our first look. We didn't do anything silly or grand. He just looked out at the water and I tapped his shoulder and we hugged and we cried and we embraced each other in the rain. I’ll always remember how in that moment it sunk in that he was going to be my forever partner and how special I felt that he chose me to be his forever partner too." Dana Robertshaw
