Carmen & Chris's Wedding was simple, authentic and completely them - a celebration of love, laughter and the people who make life sweeter.

The Story

They met at a rooftop birthday party in South Boston — a friend-of-a-friend setup that would eventually lead to a lifelong party of their own. Their first date? A simple wine bar outing for Carmen’s birthday, proving romance doesn’t need fireworks to spark.

So, how did they know it was “the one”? Carmen knew because Chris became her best friend in every sense: playful, adventurous, funny, and full of heart. Chris knew because he called his parents the day after meeting her — spoiler: they already knew she’d be his wife.

The proposal? Pure magic. Years before Carmen entered the picture, Chris hiked Italy’s “Path of the Gods” in Positano and left a note for his future wife in an abandoned house along the trail. When the moment was right, he brought Carmen back to the exact spot — note intact — and got down on one knee. Romance: unlocked.

As Connecticut natives now living in Boston, Carmen & Chris wanted to show their closest family and friends the place that meant the most to them: The Pavilions at Penfield Beach. From beach walks to sunsets, Fairfield Beach had already written chapters in their love story — now it was the setting for the next one.
