“"The day was exactly how we planned and the true blessing was being able to have our 6 children stand up with us at our ceremony, to support this amazing new blended family." Aimee
The Story

Who says love can’t start in an orthodontist’s office? That’s where Aimee and Peter met — two busy, single parents with six kids between them, definitely not looking for romance. But after a few overlapping appointments and a friendly social media connection, fate had other plans.
When Peter saw that Aimee was moving, he reached out and, despite falling off a ladder that very day (talk about dedication!), he showed up for their first date. From there, things just clicked.
Their “proposal” came in true Peter fashion; casual and heartfelt. While on a cruise with their kids, he referred to Aimee as his wife in conversation with the crew. The surprise comment turned into a real conversation about marriage, and soon after, they began planning a spring ceremony centered on what mattered most: family.
Wanting something calm and meaningful by the water, they discovered Jacky Durrell Pavilion and instantly knew it was the perfect spot. The floor-to-ceiling windows, easy natural beauty, and friendly staff made everything feel effortless, exactly what two parents with six kids needed!
The day itself was simple, peaceful, and full of love. Their children stood beside them during the ceremony, handmade décor added personal touches, and even the sand for their unity ceremony was a family project.
The vision for their wedding?
